IMHO, the food at the JFK & EWR Clubhouses is better than what is available onboard (on the return, for example). JFK is table service and EWR is a buffet. I can't speak specifically to IAD. All I've ever had at the LHR Clubhouse is the hamburger, which is fantastic.

Breakfast is available at the Revivals Lounge at LHR. It is located outside customs and immigration, and serves traditional English breakfast food, buffet-style. If you have time, I would skip the onboard breakfast and sleep in, then eat at the Revivals Lounge.
They do serve some made-to-order items in the Revivals lounge. I'm a particular fan of the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with brioche. Eeeeggggcellent.
