Saturday morning in ATL I dallied a little in the CRC before heading to the gate for my 7:15 departure to LAX. When I got there, they were boarding Zone 4 with quite a few people in line. The Breezeway line was empty. I walked up the Breezeway lane and stopped. The GA immediately reached across the other lane to take and scan my BP. The whole process took about 5 seconds. After reading all the replies, I'm still amazed that people are still having trouble with breezeway. The OP above pretty much describes my experience boarding almost every Delta flight I've boarded in the past few months. I almost always hang out in the CRC until at least the time that I first see boarding on the screens in the CRC. And I walk to the gate, generally arriving sometime between zone 4 and 7, walk to the front of the empty Breezeway lane, wait for the GA to process between 0 and 4 pax in the regular line, hand him or her my BP, and walk on the plane. The only place I remember it not working was in JAC, they didn't have any breezeway carpets yet.
