I have seen posted in this forum that a person can redeem a maximum of 2 TP awards a year. I don't know if this is true or not as I haven't tried to redeem three in a calendar year. I have redeemed three within a 12 month period before though and had no issues.
Also, most all Marriott hotel certificates are e-certs now and NOT paper certs. So in almost every case, the hotel cert will reside within your Marriott account online. So you don't have to worry about returning it if you decide to change the category level or extend it.
