Time will tell, of course, but they'll be under warranty regardless, and if Apple didn't know before they do now, and they'll be working on a fix that should be ready by the time it's needed.
And if you need a new screen it will probably take longer than getting a new battery (3-4 days). I hope the iPhone fan boys can survive the "iws" (iPhone withdrawal syndrome)
