I have the same issue on the activity section as well.
Same as the rest of you, though the activity section has been better since that UI refresh was pushed out, so I assume the promotions and rewards tab issues are tied to the upgrade (and their refreshes not being deployed yet).
Instead of clearing data, if you log out, shut down the app, then log in again, you should be good. Avoids the issue of having your notification preferences cleared when you delete cache/data.
