Because our very well built highway is slow and dangerous due to idiotic driver behaviour. For me the drive is always over 2 hours long. Also, the number of missed connections I had lately is in low single digits per year while flying 100+ segments per year. I guess I just picked the wrong week to make several short trips. Well, actually, I didn't. I go where I'm told to go.
If I ever start driving to a more distant airport, it won't be YYZ as 95% of my flying is transborder. But then I'll post on a different forum as well.

I would expect that with the ongoing pilot shortage at Chorus YXU would be a prime candidate for the bus service. After all, YXU is closer than YGK that has bus service.
OTOH I definitely wouldn't like the fact that I'd have to manipulate my checked luggage at YYZ. Some of the stuff I travel with is quite heavy.
