AP award on LH with potential LH strike impact (April 2026)
we have two AP award tickets in J YVR-MUC-ZRH next monday on LH and LX metal. LH pilots and cabin crew have overwhelmingly voted to strike but I don't think dates have been announced.
If our TATL is cancelled, will i be dealing with AP, AC, or LH for rebooking?
Will they find us non-award space? if they don't, there's no chance of going since everything has dried up.
I don't suppose there's anything i can do proactively is there?

youll be talking to AP, and they will book you on any booking visible on the aeroplan award searcher regardless of points price, which includes any available AC seat. Currently i see AC-AC through YYZ, and AC-LX through LHR

They can also lookup carrier guidance and do alot more than current Aeroplan inventory. We were affected by a LH strike on an Aeroplan ticket (though quite a while back). Less than 24h before departure. Aeroplan offered a routing with the long haul portion on an Air France A380 or an Iberia A330.
