I honestly think the revenue management team is just incompetent.

It's not just revenue management though. Heard one of the execs got caught out lying to some tourism people and they got called out on it and people felt embarrassed for Air NZ. This was just post covid for the recovery. I'm honestly not expecting the company to turn around. At this point in time, my expectation is that it will continue it's downward trajectory.

Whatever you job you're in, seniors need to oversee juniors. So that's a management issue as far as I'm concerned. Training people properly, check their work etc. Problems should be shared so others don't make the same mistake.

Booked AKL-YVR-AKL-TUO Business Class last week for my mother, booked on NZ's website.
Went to cancel it today as she wants to change dates and with the sale, net savings are ~$1,000.

Cannot cancel online, cancel button is inop.
Called in, 1 hour 10 min wait time.
Oscar is useless.
I haaaaaaate Oscar! I'm never calling or enquiring about simple stuff. On social media (Twitter, Messenger) I just type in "talk to a human" and I get an agent. Tell them to refer to the question above I've already typed in with details.
