e.g. Had DCA-LGA flight cancelled as part of DCA-LGA-MEM, rebooked DCA-ATL-MEM, which is about 300 miles shorter total. Called in to get ORC since I'm close to a MM threshold, agent said she'd send it to the skymiles desk, it re-posted with no changes (MM balance didn't budge). I was really just shrugging this off, but the same thing happened to me a second time.
No ORC credit success here either. Last time we attempted it my spouse had a diverted ATL-JAN into MEM that eventually cancelled. That segment posted with all zeros. Went round and round with DL and was repeatedly told ORC wasn’t a thing anymore and we weren’t eligible for anything (miles, MM credit, MQDs, etc, or even a refund of the segment in question). He did end up driving to get where he needed to go, but DL was totally inept in handling the whole thing. Finally gave up as it was such an inconsequential amount - had it been larger I would have escalated up to exec levels but decided to not waste anymore time on it.
