Kind of a cliche response that’s self defeating.
Ok to believe that but that’s what they want you to believe.

I’m doing better in other hotel programs with cost value relationship and
perks that matter
Unfortunately hotel programs have become much like airline programs
monkey see monkey do
As an example the absurd outrageous 500k one way in business class
which emboldened other programs to overprice
As a result I’m more engaged in some of the international programs
Upper Class to Europe in business class for 20 to 29k one way

As of now I am at almost 45% less in hotel redemption costs
next month over Hilton
While it won’t last for ever one must ride the gravy train while the going is good
Those that make excuses that they will all be bad eventually
misses opportunity likely

It’s sheep following the flock.
Example hundreds waiting for an uber Lyft with sky high pricing while taxis sit empty for a third of the price depending on the destination.
I crunch the numbers and do what’s best for myself and I urge you to do the same.
After decades thankfully I’m still finding the sweet spots in these programs granted it has gotten harder
