LH uses only T1, and UA as well.

There is always a chance that you “win” the FRA bus lottery and the FCO arrives at a bus gate, which may add a bit of time to the deplaning process.

Not sure what makes a US passport eligible for automatic gates in FRA, but I do have one with a chip in it and I've used automatic gates in the US.
EasyPass-RTP Enrollment

There is a system called EasyPass-RTP that Americans can enroll into if they enter Germany frequently.

Others may have more experience but I think the exit immigration is usually faster than arrival passport control (even without automatic gates).
