Duty of care refers to meals and accommodation while awaiting your delayed flight. If you had dinner at the airport, then you can try claiming for it (but I doubt you'll get far with that claim)
Expenses for food and drinks are recoverable under UK261. Compensation is very unlikely, but may be worth a try.
