Luckily (rightly) QF didn't have any issue with changing a number of flights on my exCAI DONEx to past 1 year of the issuing date; the last flight will be something like 14 months after the ticketing date.
Disclaimer: This was only changes in the dates of the flights, routing remained the same, and since I've already started the ticket, no repricing or change fee was needed. No idea how they would have handled route changes.
changing dates or time are fine, they can do it. Might be a bit reluctant, but if you push or soft talk, they will do it.
