I got rerouted and flew them on the DOH-KUL segment due to an RJ cancellation in January and was very pleasantly surprised. It definitely helped though that QR hadn't sold a single seat in business on the flight so there were only 2 people in the whole cabin (the other was the Malaysian sports minister). I thought the service was good, food perfectly fine, and seat comfortable (A330).
Thanks - gives me some hope. The seat is “ok” - I’ve flown it before. Certainly not internationally the best like Q-Suites or even private products like Polaris or NH. But I have the 1K throne so it’ll be more than acceptable for a daytime.
I’ve read that the food can be pretty grim, but gonna try and be glass half full about this. I haven’t actually flown them long haul since around 2005 when I did first on the 747 from LAX so it’ll be a nice chance to see!
