IBJoel Assuming you guys are okay with keeping "new posts" around, please consider linking to it from more pages. The main reason I didn't notice it on mobile until a few days ago is because it is on thread pages only (i.e. and not on forum home pages or anywhere else, as far as I can tell). You might also want to consider giving it slightly more prominent billing, though this is less of an issue because after we get accustomed to scrolling down to find it, the process would be second nature.
I'm not encouraging you to give up on you trending 2.0 concept by any means, because I liked it and a lot of others seem to be even more fond, but I'm quite content with new posts as a compromise myself.
ETA: A page I'd definitely like to see a link on is "my subscriptions"
