True, though they did have some sort of setback recently. Interestingly Iberia Plus allows you to collect points/miles with other local carriers like Vueling or even Binter... but not Air Europa.

Good point! This is a major drawback as lounge access has always been an important perk on regular flights in economy, and regardless of the distance a journey between the Canary Islands and Madrid (even though longer than Madrid to London) will still be treated as a domestic flight.

Starting to think that maybe Iberia Plus is a better option, especially with the crediting of Vueling/Binter flights. Since I already have OneWorld Silver with Finnair, can I accumulate miles on Iberia Plus while using the Finnair Silver card just for priority check-in?
