Early january DL would subtract 125.000 of those MQM's for your 2024 Diamond status, if you then have at least another 100k left you can extend that diamond status into 2025. Edit: wrong, there might be a situation where somebody sits on lets say 200K MQM's by the end of the year but only meet the MQD's for platinum. So he would loose 75K MQM's and might have enough to extend that status for 2025.
A Platinum with 200k in MQMs year end would deduct 75 for Platinum in 2024 leaving 125k and from that they could apply 100k to keep their status in 2025 and decide on MQDs or just miles for the remaining 75k. I think we are saying the same thing.
