If DL doesn't extend choice benefits to those who extend their status with MQMs rather than "earned status" then the glut of high status flyers (extended plus new), particularly from this hub flyer will remove both reasons I went for status in the first place. They've pulled the "earned status" trick before to deny choice benefits.
