And oddly, that might make me more likely to book away from Delta (when it makes sense based on fare and timing), because now I'll have gold status automatically, and I don't see myself spending $15K in a typical year to hit platinum. On the other hand, these changes put me less than half a million miles away from annual platinum, so that might make me more likely to favor Delta. TBD!
