Though that seems not to have been done towards BA, or the alternative, BA and CX do have an agreement in place, which BA isn't happy about and does not want to honor the additional P class, without updating the contract for their benefit.

I suspect it's BA that forgot to update their chart. AA had the same issue with JL chart. Back in 2021 JL flipped their I and X fare (discounted and deeply discounted J). CX updated their JL charts but AA didn't. I called, emailed, called (yes, I needed the extra miles to maintain OWE) and AA finally updated their JL chart in Mar/Apr 2022.
I can see CX P fare on AA (and AY) charts so CX did inform other airlines but BA probably didn't see the memo. But I'm surprised no BA flyers bug BA about it if P fare was introduced years ago ... or maybe they did and BA just ignored it. I mean it's BA ....
