Update: wiki content for the above thread now shows at the top of the thread in the "FlyerTalk Forums Expert How-Tos and Guides" section dated Dec 31, 69, 4:00 pm.
when I click “Hide” the display puts an orange “Hidden” at the top, but I then have to click the adjacent blue icon to actually hide that post

and the next time I open that thread, the supposedly hidden post at the top reappears
