but at MNL - if memory serves me right - the airport has a first set of security scanners right behind the entrance doors to the terminal building, and the staff won’t (there are exceptions) let you in if you cannot show a printed itinerary or ticket to them.
When I was last at MNL (admittedly 4 years ago), they were allowing you to pull up a copy on your phone to allow you into the terminal. Have no idea what it is like now, but I'd be surprised if they'd regressed to paper only.
