It's been a few years since I flew the 77W but I think (hope) the "OLD OLD" version is no longer in use and the OLD version is.

AGREED! As I book ticket for my whole family, although not loyal to any airline, I would always choose the cheapest as long as the airline's comfort and service level is acceptable, preferably without long connections and that airlines that don't go against my beliefs (No Saudia, but yes WY,EK,QR,EY etc.)
