I wanted to try this way, but it's not really possible to me, coz:
- it's pricy, my dad is in hospital and my family is using all budget for him AND usually the refundable ticket price is much higher, now the economy class is about 6000CAD if I want to departure as soon as I can (after 1 month), in the recent 3 weeks, there is only business class costs about 11,000CAD.
- I am living in a city does not have Chinese Embassy designated COVID detect clinics, I need to fly to one of the city has the clinics, stay in hotel 8 days before departure date, accomplish 4 times various COVID tests dated from the 7th day before departure date.
- purchasing multiple ticket will make it very complicated when I plan which city I fly to, hotel booking and how I book the covid tests
- e.g, 3 days a row may make me need to go to detect clinic almost every day, to do PCR, serology (blood) tests, to meet the requirement of -7D test, -2D test, -1D test, -12h test
- each test costs about $150CAD (except the -12h antigen test)
- if the city I go does not have direct flight to China, I need to fly to the city have it - due to 12hours antigen test requirement
- in case I got positive result in any test, I need to fly back to Ottawa to proceed the recovery process, this is required by Chinese Embassy - the city I am living is consular district by Chinese Embassy - Ottawa, if I want to accomplish recovery process in Vancouver or Toronto, I won't be approved.
As a result, the best plan IMO is, I just fly to Ottawa, accomplish the pre-departure tests, then fly to Toronto to take AC27, but there is 40% limitation right now, I can be removed.
Once I was removed, all of the above works have been done will waste. And I have to book another ticket about 1 month later and redo all of above again - my dad is in hospital.
So, I am so eager to seek for help from Air Canada for the special assistant to help me get onboard on the current ticket.
Thanks for reply.
