Maybe not the right thread but can anyone help with this question?
I booked domestic flights with United but was not able to pay for bags at that time, when I checked in I paid for two bags but the flight was cancelled due a mechanical problem. UA rebooked me onto AA but I had to pay AA to check my bags, I applied to UA for a refund for the baggage charge but this has been refused?
I think I'd just try again (with the link in above post), highlighting the details that you paid for bags with United, but that they did not ultimately fly you anywhere, and that you hand to handle checking them again on your own.
