I know the neos took the option to remove the L/R2 doors (which weren’t big enough for L2 boarding unfortunately).
It's not that the 2L door is too small for boarding but rather that the left engine is too close and at risk of being hit by the jetbridge. One of many reasons the 757 is still far superior to the 321.
