But it seems that the suspension is just for 2 days. Does anybody else know more? I'm booked on UA857 on January 19. With Omnicron ripping through the mainland, and the response being massive lockdowns, I might just put my trip off for a few months. Thoughts?
Sorry I got the dates wrong.

From my understanding, the CAAC order says UA 857 is suspended for two weeks for Sunday arrival effective Jan. 10. This means the flights arriving on Jan. 16 and 23. Therefore, UA 857 departing on Jan. 15 and 22 are suspended.

UA can choose to reduce capacity from 75% to 40% for 4 weeks i.e. for flights departing on Jan. 15, 22, 29, Feb. 5. So we will see.

It's total madness.
