I didn't know of the Capital One thing. That is interesting. My very first credit card in 2008 was with HSBC so I wouldn't want to lose that history.
I signed up for Premier due to the international presence. I was hoping to get an account set up in The Philippines soon since my wife's family is there. The announcement today (or at least what I read) seemed noncommittal. They noted a potential sale of the US business.
