In line to land on 19L. In all of my years of traveling I have NEVER landed on this runway. We arrived 8 minutes early and taxied for another 7 before arriving at gate F19. As I disembarked I made it a point to thank the FA's for a fantastic flight.
A couple of days ago, during an afternoon break in the rain, I was outside in the bubbling hot water, watching SFO approaches to what I figured would be on the 19s. Planes were coming in almost as if they were on an OAK arrival from the north, but at lower altitude, and then they made their right turns a couple of minutes after flying overhead.
