You seem determined to invent reasons why Apple FaceID can't work for you. Instead of going through all the motions why not just try it with your extra special sunglasses? Many others have and it seems to work for them.
As my posts earlier indicated, it works ok enough for me while biking
except when I am biking with sunglasses. No inventing involved by me there either.
