Air Canada was very excited about buying these and i believe they had about 15 in the fleet. Lasted a few years, they also licensed the Air Canada A340-500 models through Herpa.de
I wish I kept all of my pictures as I actually had pictures of the registration plate and the outside of the plane
I recall it was a beautiful evening in Vancouver as we stood on the roof of the Air Canada Hangar watching the evening sky. I should have been focusing on the plane!
Those pictures are not of an A340-500. The -500 never had those J class seats, and you can see the reg in the flight deck: C-FTNP, which was one of 3 lower gross weight versions of the -300 that AC flew.
