I requested and received my data report. Only 25 pages, which for someone with 979 lifetime nights and a tenure of 17 years I thought a bit light. Maybe I'm just not worth tracking?
A bit of background on my Marriott history - joined MR in June 2000, only MR (no Starwoods account to merge), originally based in Canada but moved to UK in 2008, lifetime Titanium.
Requested the report on 29 September, received it on 23 October.
Same sections that
DELee reported -
- Guest Information - 1-14
- Loyalty Information - 15-18
- Reservation Information - 19-20
- Case Information - 21-25
A few notes on each section:
- Guest Information - my "address history", but only included my current address (which I have been at since 2013), saved credit card history (no numbers) back to 2012, communication preferences, reservation preferences,
- Loyalty Information - summary of my loyalty status and totals - lifetime nights and points are right, revenue seems low (~97701 for 979 nights, works out to 99.80 a night, if that is in USD, it feels low - maybe it's in GBP now I am UK based?). Then a list of all my points and nights earnings and deductions, however...
- points earnings only shows from March 2001, 9 months (to the day) after I joined, so is missing 103 nights and 206,111 points earned in my first 9 months.
- Reservation history - all reservations from October 2003, including cancellations. Nothing in my history before that.
- Case history - Only included one case - from a contact in August 2018 inquiring about moving from Lifetime Silver to Lifetime Gold. There were no other cases included, even though I have contacted Marriott in the past via the call centre, email and web; and obviously have spoken to people at the front desk and managers of hotels across that time.
So overall quite incomplete. I had mostly been interested in the transaction history (reservations, nights and points earnings), as I hadn't started tracking all the details until 2005. So my history is still a bit incomplete, but I suppose I shall just learn to live with the mystery.
