My "Access Request" Personal Data Report
Just thought I'd provide a summary of how long it took to get my report as well as the major sections of what I received and a few comments.
I'd note that most of my stays and activity came from my days on the Marriott Rewards side so it appears that I have only a little bit of the CRM data collected by SPG vs. most of my interactions with Marriott were not at the hotel level but with MR Customer Service via e-mail and web submissions of service requests. I'll explain in the Comments below.
Date Report Requested: 4/2/20
Date Report Accessible: 5/14/20
Report Format: PDF Document
Total Pages: 1828
Major Sections:
A. Guest Information: pp. 1-22
B. Loyalty Information: pp. 23-33
C. Reservation Information: pp. 35-1524
D. Guest Interaction Information: pp. 1525-1828
Major Sections' Summary:
A. Guest Information: two full copies of: address history, credit card history (no cc numbers), communication preferences, spouse info, (brand) reservation preference, RC customer join/leave dates/type, beverage requested/type, snack requested/type

C. Reservation Information: two full copies of: each booking associated with my member number
D. Guest Interaction Information: case #s and information
Comments:
- I'd note that the site where you specifically request your personal data shows that the report will be electronic (i.e. a PDF) - so no extra paper to be used to clog toilets - unless you print the dang thing yourself and that's what you want to use it for...
- I suspect that why it is taking Marriott so long to handle processing of each and every single report request is confirming that the info is actually yours - what that means is they are reviewing the whole data dump for non-you information and redacting it
- An example of redaction is: when I made a request to get, for instance my Platinum Arrival Gift points that weren't credited to my account, they redacted the agent's info who responded to me from Customer Service and the engagement sequence of their response
- If you've always wanted to know where you've stayed and how many points you received from each and every source, this report is a gold mine; for instance, even though I signed up for a MR account at/around my stay at the Dearborn Inn in October 1997, my first credited stay is 4 years later at the CY Phoenix/Mesa - whether I was clueless and not providing to corporate travel my MR number or I really didn't stay at a single Marriott property for 4 years is really not clear but that's that
- As noted, most of my service requests were either via web page submissions or direct e-mails to Customer Service as a MR Platinum/Platinum Premier; examples of what these requests are include: missing stays, incorrect MegaBonii, unavailable folio downloads, counting stays relative to when registered for MegaBonii, missing PAGs, missing bonus points, _1_ online chat, SYD Sheraton Grand (redacted) service, SNAs, MegaBonii brand promotion missing points, etc.
- As compared to the Guest Info and Reservation Info sections, there's blessedly little duplication in the Guest Interaction Info section, so I suspect that those of you who come from the SPG side and where every single interaction was tracked, review and redaction of your reports is going to take Marriott personnel weeks unfortunately...
- Now that I look at the duplications in the sections mentioned above, I wonder if it has to do with the merge of the two systems (MR and SPG) for me; for some of you, it may be a merge of three (MR, RC and SPG)
Anyway, hope this info helps those folks waiting for their data.
