As noted above, you can receive points but not nights. What you quoted from customer service is correct - you should earn 14 nights, not 18 nights. The Customer Service quote says nothing about points. If you didn't earn points for both stays, you should respond that you accept that you should only receive 14 nights but the points that you should earn are missing.
