There are very few short haul flights in the EK network. This was a 3 hour flight, but it's no excuse for shoddy service. The 'dinner' service was over, with more than 90 minutes left for the flight! The crew couldn't wait to get it over and done with and were dumping unused drinks into the toilet sink and who knows what else!
Notwithstanding this, the service is a Noticable decline and the main point is that I'm certain Econ passengers had a more substantial meal than we in business class. So not at all worth the 3 times cost!!
