Citibank - the jig is up...

Citi's branch network is much smaller than Chase, Bank of America or Wells Fargo. Branches generate card applications. Citi needs to use mailers (postal or electronic) or online ads to generate applications. It's cheaper than opening more branches or acquiring local banks.
