I flew out of PHX on Friday morning. At least in Terminal 4, there were only two lines open. I was #3 of about 6 people waiting in line for the one pornoscope "servicing" both lines. All of a sudden, the clerk guarding the metal detector pointed at us in line and said, "First three over here!" We walked through the metal detector without any doggies in sight. I even still had my belt on. What a huge risk to civil aviation security!!!

NB: Now that I think about it, I didn't see a single groping or bag check going on either at PHX or at Dulles when I flew on Sunday afternoon.

It's clear to me that the TSA is going to have to invent a new threat if they hope to motivate their clerkforce to actually show up for work.
