IRROPS is part of life and reducing the risk for people who are not sophisticated and may have other barriers is a factor. You're right, I veered us off course. I would never judge anyone for how they allocate their time/money. It's theirs. And as you said, the trip may not have been possible otherwise.

IRROPS sucks even for those of us that speak the native language and have enough status with the airline to be handled expediently. I feel badly for these people but also super confident that AC will handle it and if the advice written above is followed the language issue is almost a non-factor.
