One of my favorite restaurants in that area (and, for that matter, Boston in general) is Fire + Ice. You can grab lunch or dinner there and they have a unique way of preparing the food and you get a lot of food for your $.

I don’t mean to sound like a jerk, but I disagree with your entire post.

Back Bay is as much a wonderful residential neighborhood as it is a commercial district. DO NOT EAT ANY OF YOUR MEALS AT THE SHERATON! My favorite breakfast spot in the area, Trident Bookstore Café, is a very easy walk from the hotel. For a quick bite, Flour Bakery is directly across the street from the hotel. Their sticky buns are insanely good.

The area has a number of superb restaurants. Fire + Ice is not one of them.
