As is the case with all these "is it worth it" questions nobody can answer on your behalf. Whether it is worth double the price depends on those prices too....$200 versus $400? $1000 versus $2000?

Read up the benefits of the aircraft you're looking at and decide how much you'd be willing to pay for those services. If it's less than AA is asking it isn't worth it to you, if it's more than AA is asking then it is.
