Makes my Amex Platinum commitment iffy as well now since this partnership of easier qualification will disappear (I better get it for the upcoming year since that was what I was led to believe). Unfortunate for sure.
The Fairmont benefit was one of the very best things offered for Canadian Amex Plat. Going to be loads of cancellations and downgrades of Amex cards unless something is added to try to replace it. Not worth $699 without Fairmont IMHO.
