They keep A class availability tight on that route to manage the use of their discounted F fares. I doubt it is for the purposes of preventing Oneworld products, as these make up a very small fraction of their sales.
Have you tried waitlisting? A class is often zeroed but not usually closed, indicating they might confirm waitlisted passengers quickly.
