I'm with you here. There's no way in hell I am wearing business casual on a 12 hour flight. There's no need for it. Some sort of lightweight pants (sweats, "travel" nylon pants), t-shirt and maybe hoodie.

Amen to whoever said smell > appearance. I might snicker at how you're dressed, but it doesn't affect me. It's a whole different story if your last shower was three months ago. Also, don't forget to do laundry. You may take two showers a day (not healthy, IMHO), but if whatever you're wearing hasn't been washed in years... it'll stink.
