Had a discussion on how, IMO, this system was not very well thought out and that AA should think through how they want the system to work and the practicalities of it. Most of all, I emphasized that they need to communicate both what the policy is and how it actually should work in practice.

I do believe that some of what I pointed out will go up the ladder and hopefully AA will both adjust the policy, define the practice and communicate those better.
I hope AA revises it too. While I would prefer that passengers use the lav in their own cabin, I understand why it might not always be feasible on a domestic narrowbody, but I don't think an F passenger should ever have to wait in line behind a Y passenger to use the lav in their own cabin (also, how is the F passenger supposed to know to check for a line first?).
