Ah yes ....the Arabian Airpass. One could be forgiven for thinking that it is not real, but merely the stuff of myth & legend.
My one & only experience of using the AA brings a wry smile of amusement when I look back - although I didn't find the process especially funny at the time.
When I wanted to book some flights a couple of years or so ago (coincidentally also to Amman) I called EK support - as instructed on the website.
ME : "
Hi there, I'd like to take advantage of the Arabian Airpass scheme please "
EK : "
Arabian Airpass ...? What's that ? "
ME : "
It enables Emirates passengers travelling international longhaul to book regional flights within the Middle East at special rates."
EK : "
Really ? And where did you hear about this ? "
ME : "
er ....from your website."
EK : "
oh, best book from the website then."
ME : "
Actually I wish I could. But that's not possible. Which is why I'm calling you."
And the rest, as they say, is history........
I did eventually get my flights booked, but hadn't planned on the need for me to run a staff training programme in order to do so.
