Just used a RUC successfully for LAX-ATL, ATL-PBI. When I clicked on "my trips", and clicked on my upcoming flight, it showed my itinerary with original seat selections and a duplicate itinerary without any seat selection. The duplicate itinerary had "gate assignment" listed as seat assignment and also (RU) or (RO).
Within 24 hours when the upgrade list is viewable, your name should be at the very top. Call again if it is not.
