My problem with Waze, and to a lesser extent Google Maps, is that the rerouting is a little too aggressive on the speeds of minor arterial streets. The side effect is that it tends to want to route me through some pretty sketchy neighborhoods in order to save 30 seconds. That's fine when I'm in Chicago and it wants to route me through North Lawndale, less fine when I'm in another city.
