MAN is weird these days

There are now now 3 levels :-

Normal - join the big queue
Fastrack - pay £3.50 and join the shorter queue
Priority - business class/elites from some airlines join a supposedly even shorter queue

The issue was that the queues during very busy times were horrendous. So, everyone was buying Fastrack passes, which meant that Business/Elites were getting no benefit.

On my last trip through T1, the Priority queue was much bigger than the Fastrack queue. So, it's still a bit of a lottery.
Last time I flew from MAN (end August) (not emirayes) I bought a fast track amd the queue was short but the regular queue was not much longer and had loads more desks open. I think having to buy your ticket before you can see the queue is a con. The time before that (mid morning mid July) we had free fast track (again not Emirayes) with a Premium Econony ticket and we were glad of it.
