Anyone who puts their eggs in one basket gets hit with these devaluations. If you only hold Aeroplan miles - well you just got screwed. Same holds true for any devaluation whereever it may be (and even CX storm is a brewin). AA cannot be far behind. Avios got devalued this year.
The question is - what hasnt been devalued - NOTHING.
Diversify. Your favourite AE award goes from 30k to 80k - use other miles from your portfolio.
