Your comment reminds me of conversations i have with friends when I consult them about having the "right" credit cards in their wallet. Surprising how many people are not sure how much their annual fee is on a given card. This leads me to believe you are probably correct in at least some portion of the population. People pay it, and unless it's completely out of bounds - it just gets paid
